If there's one thing I have leaned about establishing and maintaining websites it is that you cannot mess around with your hosting service. I had more than twenty blogs with Hostgator for more than a year and I can honestly say that I was a happy customer. At first I was quite reluctant to move my sites with them since they are pretty big, and we all know that big companies more than often have horrible support. Luckily for me this wasn't the case - I had to contact their support only once, and they came back to me pretty quickly and resolved the issue without a delay.
Their prices are more than fair too - after all hosting unlimited domains for $7.95? I see nothing wrong with that ;) I have never had any downtime (at least not that I know of) and the control panel is pretty decent too (although a bit slow at times). The only problem I had with them was after I cancelled my hosting account with them - I emailed them well in advance to let them know, nevertheless they kept emailing me for MONTHS after that to remind me that I have to pay for my hosting (which I wasn't using at the time).
All in all Hostagor is a pretty decent host in my opinion.

Hostgator is only aged five years going on six but they are already a legendary web hosting provider in their own right. And I say this because they have won numerous awards to their name, and countless praised voiced out by users and professionals alike.

Mostly their packages comes with all the features needed for a professional website. They have three hosting packages namely Hatchling ($6.95 pm) Swamp ($14.95 pm) and Baby Linux ($9.95). The price is reasonable for the features and space/bandwidth provided for all the packages.
Hostgator offers 24/7 toll free support. In addition, they have Ticket System, tutorials etc. Also they have an active forum which helps in fixing most normal issues. Their Support tickets are fast, often response will be made in less couple of hours.
